  • Circa Sports Million 2020-Week 6 (leaderboard Tuesday, lines Thursday, consensus picks Saturday)

Circa Sports Million II, which a $1,000 entry fee, drew an unbelievable 3,148 entries, outdrawing the 1,172 in the SuperContest and is the second-most entries ever for a high-end Vegas football handicapping contest behind last year's 3,328 in the SuperContest. All this came in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic that kept a lot of people from coming to Vegas to sign up in person especially as casinos were closed from March 18 through June 3. Here's my story at on how Circa Sports accomplished the feat:

The inaugural Circa Survivor (also $1,000, and players make one straight-up pick a week and can't use the same team twice) drew 1,390 entries and the winner-take-all prize will be $1.39 million.

The Circa Sports Million Top 5 Most-Selected Teams went 5-0 in Week 5 to improve to 16-9 on the young season. Here is the leaderboard after four weeks and heading into 2nd Quarter for Week 5-8 with 1st Quarter winner SUNNYSANDIEGO-1 going 3-2 to hold onto the lead at 21-3-1 through five weeks. A total of 197 players went 5-0 to start the 2nd Quarter:

    1ST PLACE OVERALL, 21-3-1

    TIED FOR 2ND, 20-4-1
    Aaron White-1

    TIED FOR 4TH, 20-5
    Carolina Saints-1
    Red Chip Mafia-2

In Circa Survivor, the field if down to 410 as 169 went out with the 49ers in Week 5, the top play of the week. Another 46 were eliminated with the Chiefs loss to the Raiders and there were a couple of close calls as the Saints (77), Steelers (36), Seahawks (32) and Cowboys (27) had Survivor players sweating.
