  • SuperContest 2020-Week 10 (standings Tuesday, lines Wednesday, consensus/leaders' picks Sunday)

We've been doing these weekly SuperContest threads since ViewFromVegas.com debuted in 2007 and we were the only site posting the SuperContest spreads online as the then-Las Vegas Hilton was reluctant to post them on its own website). There are still a ton of readers who still come here every week to get the updated standings on Tuesdays, the official contest lines on #SuperContest, the consensus and leaders' picks on Saturdays and the results after the games are played...and then return for the next week's thread.

The SuperContest drew just 1,172 entries for the 2020 season, down from the record 3,328 entries last year, at $1,500 apiece. The reasons were many, starting with the pandemic that kept a lot of people from coming to visit Las Vegas to enter and also from the increased competition of the second-year Circa Sports Million. But it's still the SuperContest and will have a first-place prize of $435,623.20 plus the championship ring. The SuperContest Gold, the $5,000 winner-take-all version, closed with 72 entries, down from 117, and will have a $360,000 first-place prize.

    #SuperContest Top 5 Most-Selected went 1-4 in #NFL Week 9 (22-24 on season) w/ win on BAL -2.5, losses on SEA -3, AZ -5, PIT -14 & NE -7; #SuperContestGold Top 5 went 2-3 (25-20 on year) w/ wins on NO +4.5 & CAR +10.5, losses on DET +5.5, AZ -5 & NE -7

I read your recap this morning on the daily VSIN email. Was there a reason why AZ in the top 5 in your writeup for the Westgate contest? Both Denver and AZ had 302 entries. The way I figure it the top 5 went 3-2-1Winners on TB, Miami and AZ. Losses on Baltimore and Denver. Push on Cleveland. Before Sunday's action, I had the YTD as 22-24. After Sunday's action, I have the YTD as 25-26-1. Maybe I have the wrong prior YTD record.

Thanks for the correction...can't figure how I failed to notice tie for No. 5 spot (I make habit of checking that, though it's been much more common with Gold in last few years and much rarer when SC had entries in the 2,000s and 3,000s.
