Thanks, steviev...I've updated my picks for later Friday afternoon at https://www.vsin.com/tuleys-thorough...s-march-18-20/ after the cancellation of Laurel races.
And, yes, I'll have a new column on Saturday morning for the weekend races. GLA

And sad news this morning that Patrick McQuiggan passed away at age 64...no details yet on cause of death.

I worked w/ Patrick a few times over the past 20 years (the last being a Pegasus podcast for @ronflatter @VSiNLive)...when we talked outside of work, he always asked about my kids & we laughed at the fact his golf coach was my brother-in-law (by total coincidence) R.I.P. Patrick
R/T Ron Flatter @ronflatter
I was devastated to learn overnight of the passing of Patrick McQuiggan. My first week here in Las Vegas, I asked Patrick for a few minutes. He gave me more than an hour that evening at
@southpointlv. We quickly became friends. Prayers to his family. #RIP

I know our local horseplayers knew him from the radio here in Vegas, but any other out-of-towners meet him like east coast at Sam's Town or South Point over the years?

here's a couple of horses today at Fairgrounds, both trained by Chris Block and both ridden by Julien Leparoux,
8th at FG the #9 Winning Envelope, here's hoping the turf course is kind to closers today and the 1 don't steal it...…….OUT
9th at FG the #7 Captivating Moon @10-1 morning line, I hoping for a little speed duel with the 3 and 9 and hopefully can set up for a closer like the 7...…..2nd @42-1
*** Update*** the 7 ran 2nd at 42-1, a $2 exacta with one the favorites returns $135. and a $1 tri pd $572. paid 25.60 for place and 11.60 to show
12th FG it's a tough race I know I'm using the 10 horse in some exotics...…...OUTLast edited by east coast; 03-21-2020, 03:59 PM.

JMcMahon...you might be onto something, I haven't had many winners the last few days, but I've had a lot of horses run well at prices but come up short...I'm playing in an NHC qualifier at horseplayers.com and I have two 3rd-place finishes already today (after I think I had 3 yesterday). Just had a winner in Golden Gate Race #4 with Papipifas at 8/1, though bummed it was 20/1 morning line and 16/1 as they were entering the gate (but not accusing of any past-posting as a horse broke through gate and had to be put back in, so over a minute gap between seeing odds and a ton of contest players were on the #7 as well.
