Both of these news channels are trash but ANY channel that
uses headlines like CNN did here should not be able to exist but I guess they are doing exactly the only thing they are actually there for nowadays, keep the country divided so those in power can control us.

Bullshit, CNN tells the truth, while Fox is in Trump's pocket, supporting him no matter what Trump says or does.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! You think CNN tells the truth. That's some funny shit right there. They both lie and misconstrue whomever is on the other side. I would think you would know by now that Fox backs any Republican while trashing any Democrat and CNN and MSNBC do the exact opposite. How brainwashed do you have to be to not see this?

  • #62
This headline bothers you but all of the stuff Fox and Trump say to keep the country divided doesn't? Every briefing I hear trump blame the news media and they are fake, but he hold one everyday and then tells us his ratings are so high better than the Bachelor during a pandemic. Buckeye you know gambling and here is a guy that bankrupted 3 casinos and now doing it with the country. Basically an impossibility to do, even DR Chu could make a casino profitable. CNN is at least telling the truth even if it is somewhat dividing the country but I have more breaking news for you the country started dividing when Trump started his run for presidency.

Where did I say that stuff doesn't bother me? I just don't let it get under my skin and have to post on websites about it all the time. I don't know why anyone watches his briefings, and then gets mad at what he is saying. Sounds pretty dumb to me. I haven't watched him on TV since the debates. Keeps my blood pressure down and lets me live my life, instead of worrying about what someone I don't like is talking about. A lot of just makes me laugh because the liberals let it bother them soooooo much. Apparently they have nothing better to do than bitch and rant about him, it's hilarious. The country went bankrupt when Woodrow Wilson started the Federal Reserve. Reagonomics made it worse, Bush's war (which is what the reserve wants, because they make a shit ton of money off wars, which I'd bet is why that is still going on today) made it even way worse. Between that and Obama doubling the debt made it past the point of no return. You understand why these candidates promise bringing the troops home, but never actually do?

Do you know which of his casinos went bankrupt and the reason? Taj Mahal everyone knows but probably not why. You could also ask Caesar's, they filed for bankruptcy and operate around 40 casinos. Actually the country has been dividing since 1985 when the FCC fairness doctrine was revoked, this is why we have news outlets like Fox and CNN and MSNBC today that do not give us fair, unbiased news. It's one way the elites divide us so we don't focus on them and their brainwashing. It just seems like it got worse in 2016 because CNN and the Democrats couldn't handle that they lost an election that they pretty much rigged, that they have so much hate for the person that won they brainwash their liberal fan bases to hate him too. They still can't accept it 3 years later. That's the difference between the left and right. When Obama won you didn't see a bunch of crazy Republicans out in the streets saying, "Not my President" like all these fools when Trump won, or all the hate filled speeches from the left saying they want him dead, or things like the 3rd in succession ripping up the SOTU speech. Holy hell, are we in 3rd grade? 99% of any dividing of this country is due to MSM.

I have some faith in the American populace to make the correct decision in November. The line is around pkem. Highest I’ve seen is Trump-119/Biden. The margin in 2016 was narrow. Probably flops Democrat this time due to the revenge factor. I think the anti-Trump sentiment will be more passionate this round, especially women voters.
That said, I want MLB and golf to lead the way back. Fla, GA, Neb, Okla, and AZ r not too too populous states with guvs eager to stimulate biz. I like the bubble concept to start off with. Stagger start times to get all 4 time zones involved. Put cameras everywhere. Why do we never c pitches covered live from 1st or 3rd base? Get the producers to experiment with new angles and mike evurbuddy! Make it unique for however long the fans r away. Keep what works. These r crazy times that require ingenuity. Go for it!

The line in 2016 was not narrow. At the beginning of election day Trump was 10/1 on 5D, I remember because I was certain Hillary was going to win and when Trump kept winning states I was keeping an eye on the lines and hers kept shrinking. I think it was around -200 when I pulled the trigger on her. PGA says they will return in June but we shall see.

Blaming Trump for his slow and misguided response to the Covid 19 pandemic is like blaming a lame horse for coming in last. What did you expect? Nothing about this man, his character or history, should have led anyone to think his response to a crisis of this magnitude would be anything but feeble and inadequate. Trump’s own blame game – the Chinese, the Democrats, Joe Biden, the WHO and Dr. Fauci (who’s become the current right wing whipping boy) – is a game he likely played as a toddler, and it remains his basic public strategy. However, if true blame is deserved anywhere it’s with the American voting public (along with a mesmerized media) for electing him in the first place. America – as always – got the president it richly deserved - and now IT points fingers?

I’m following, daily, the death projections made by the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), as this is the one quoted now like religious dogma by the federal government, and which keeps reducing the projected number of Covid 19 deaths in the U.S. by August 4, 2020. They project that the number of deaths will plateau around May 10th at 59,000 and by August 4th hit just over 60,000. A relatively small number, compared to almost all other projection models, I’ve looked at.

I don’t know what hard numbers they use, let alone the algorithm applied, but I do know their assumptions about the current practices of social distancing being continued, and “infections minimized and contained”, are pretty darn vague and highly uncertain. I also know they’ve been consistently underestimating the number of deaths in the U.S. on a daily basis by nearly 6% - a percentage error that increases every day.

Now, I like a positive spin. I like thinking the glass is half full rather than the reverse, I like thinking that Covid 19 is less lethal than supposed and that, with Summer weather, it will go the way of other flu viruses. But looking at the warm and fuzzy projections by IHME, I can’t help being reminded of the end of “The Life of Brian” with Brian and his pals hanging on crosses – about to all die – yet happily singing about “the bright side of life”.

This is about life and death. Until we have a vaccination or cure, assume the worst – and don’t bet your life on federal government promises.

Donzilla truly needs to be removed from office before he kills even more people with this insanity...He's a clear and present danger to anyone that listens to his hairbrain ideas on 'cures' for the virus. The hydroxychloroquine debacle has already killed people that took it without medical supervision, and even those with it. It's only going to get worse. He thinks he knows more than any doctor or researcher about medicine...He says he's a quick study for it all even though he rarely attends meetings with the true health experts. He needs to go now, but it won't happen. The 25th Amendment will collect more dust. His cult will follow him to their graves...Anyone that votes for him is truely misguided, and aiding and abetting Crimes Against Humanity. He is a menace pure and simple.

Just another small glimse into how incredibly bad he is at running the country and how he only cares about himself...

Wonder if he's injected himself with clorox yet? Or shoved a halogen bulb up his wazoo? I'm starting to wonder about the collective IQ of the American populace if they continue to back this moron.

You should be thankful he’s saying this stuff. According to you qll the only people that are going to listen to him are his allegiance of followers and most of you want them all dead anyway. You know, “the party of tolerance.” It’s funny you mention the hydroxychloroquine. I don’t know much about but they had to start treating it like ephedra because doctors were prescribing it their family members and hoarding it. Why would DOCTORS be listening to someone with no medical background? In all honesty anyone that thinks he was talking about lysol or bleach really needs to just listen to him so we can weed out the idiots. There actually are medical procedures that use uv light and label it a “disinfectant.” He shouldn’t be saying shit like that in a press conference, but all you that think he was talking about household chemicals just prove how much of a sheep you are. It’s called research and thinking for yourself!!!

UW’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), the numbers place the White House (once again) relies on for data – at least when it isn’t going by the White House’s whole-cloth fabrications – has more than doubled its death projection from what it was a month ago – from 60,000 to 135,000 by early August; and every numbers guy I know agrees that the assumptions built in to IHME’s model are still far too optimistic. The head researcher, himself, said in a 538 interview that one early assumption made was that “people were smart” – which got a big laugh, and rightly so. Clearly, they’re not smart enough – see the protesters in Michigan chanting ““Give Me Liberty or Give me Death!”, when it should be: “Give Me Liberty AND Give Me Death!”. In a number of southern states, especially Florida and Texas, the data books are being feverishly cooked – and, believe me it’s ‘slap-in-the face’ obvious – to sell the lie that everything’s peachy keen, and going back to work is risk free. I have no doubt that people will buy into it, and as long as infection and death numbers are suppressed, they’ll be happy as clams – until they die, or pass the infection on to someone more fragile. No – far too many people are not smart enough, and IHME’s projection is still coming from a dream world.

The Floriduuuuuh Governor should be put in jail for shutting down reporting of numbers. Such a Donzilla move to hide facts to help him look good. Texas and Georgia aren't far behind.

The UW info I posted when this first started had a range of 60k to 210k...It was early in the game but unfortunately the numbers are gonna come in on the high end, and if more idiot Governors open too early the numbers will eclipse the high end.

The Red Hats with the long guns who protest must be so proud.

Just watched the movie "Contagion".....so eerily on point with what we are going through. Especially the way this thing (in the movie and in real life) has been moving.

The White House released a projection that the daily deaths in the US could reach 3,000 by early June, largely because of the rush to reopen. And Dr. Fauci all but guarantees (he's not alone) that there will be a second wave in the fall/winter. And it could be even worse than the inital wave. Wonder if the anti-vaxxers, at that point, would be willing to take a needle, if a vaccine has been developed?

The anti-vaxxers would drink Clorox before taking a needle.

A vaccine is not guarenteed as history shows Having one by January is another Donzilla pipe dream. Hopefully a good treatment can be developed if nothing else.

If mandatory mask wearing in public was in place we could slow it down big time from what I read but Governors gotta sign onto that. I'm sure the nut balls protesting with their big guns would say not wearing a mask is their right!!! Put the red hats over their face..

            So much winning..

To Trump and many of his Republican Congressmen, the 100,000+ predicted dead Americans is just a statistic, not mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grandparents, grandchildren, brothers, sisters or other family members. However, many voters will be remembering how Trump and his colleagues disregarded this crisis when it is time to vote for their successors.

Trump's focus now is on opening the country, despite all of the doctors and scientists saying that it is too early to do so. More than 10,000 deaths in the last 7 days is not a deterrent to this inept President. How many Americans have to die due to his terrible policies to combat the cover-19 crisis? After all, the 10,000+ deaths in a week is just another statistic to Trump.

Demonrats, Killary, Do-Nothing Democrats, Crazy Joe, Mini Mike, Nervous Nancy, Crooked Hillary....I can spout out childish nicknames like I'm 6 too as opposed to having a civilized conversation. SMH

t seems that all the people commenting must have money flowing in by the truckload. Well, not every person in this country has that luxury. $1200, which I doubt everyone has even received, is not getting everyone by. There are so many issues with unemployment and that clusterfuck not everyone has an income right now. Kids still need fed and parents need money to be able to do that. This is not just about the economy that some narrow minded people think or would have you to think. This is about people surviving. COVID has been around long enough that we know the precautions needed to help slow the spread. There is no reason people cannot go to work and make a living and use the precautions we have been given by your infamous Fauci. If precautions didn't work why do we not hear about all the essential workers getting sick and dying??? Will there be more deaths when state's re-open? Sure. Will they all be COVID related? Highly unlikely. Will there be a huge influx of people to the hospitals? Shouldn't be if they are using the precautions we've been told. I find it interesting Fauci knows for sure there will be a second wave this fall/winter, (kinda like he knew there would be a surprise infectious disease outbreak during Trump's presidency) when we haven't seen swine flu or SARS come back after their outbreaks. That guy seems to know a lot about the future...

One thing many people aren't realizing is we as a nation are mentally unstable whether you want to admit it or not. There have been more layoff-related deaths like suicide and drug overdoses than confirmed COVID deaths. Of course, these deaths should absolutely be counted as COVID deaths, considering we count someone with "symptoms" as COVID related and the fact that had this pandemic not occurred they most certainly wouldn't have committed suicide or OD'd <--(using the same logic that symptoms automatically mean you have COVID). When lockdown deaths exceed COVID deaths it seems like a pretty good time to let people out before losing their damn minds. It's funny that people can go to the grocery stores and home depot and walmart apparently don't have to worry about getting it. It's only those that go to small businesses and restaurants and hair salons that get infected. If you're willing to give up your freedoms because the government said so, that's your choice. It's also everyone else's choice NOT to give up their freedoms! If they want to go about their day and take the chance of getting infected, that's THEIR choice. If you want to stay in your house and not do anything, that's YOUR choice. That's the great part of living in this country, CHOICE (or at least what we think is choice anymore). People shaming other people because they don't think the way we do is exactly what they want, to keep Americans divided because they know that's the only way they can control us and the media has done their part in accomplishing this.

Don't forget the fact that while we are all in lockdown, the only thing it is doing to our immune system is making it weaker, which means once this lockdown is over we are going to more easily susceptible to getting sick from anything.

As Benjamin Franklin stated, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

I have been very fortunate to of stayed working throughout all of this crap. Although they did split us up into two shifts (6:30am-2:30pm & 3pm-11pm. Normal shift is 7am-4pm), and we switch every-other-week, which sucks. Never thought after 27 years on the job I'd be working nights, lol. After 7 weeks now of this, they finally told us to start wearing masks this week, lol. Bars and restaurants here open up next week so all will be good.....but I'm not going to take too many chances.

I think we will get all major sports back soon. But I don't think there will be fans. I just don't see how you can have 30-40-50k+ people together in a single venue, outdoors or not. Not until there is a vaccine. But what do I know.

The NBA shut down the sports world when 1 player tested positive. How far into the NFL season will it be until this happens? Don't think we'll see pro sports until an effective vaccine is found. That won't be until 2021. Kiss 2020 goodbye. Just my humble opinion.
