  • Are There ANY Casinos Open Yet? (As of 5-20-20)

Just wondering if there are any at all open in the states, or even in other countries......interested to see how these companies go about "social distancing" and other safety standards that are needed to keep people safe. My son has worked at the Hollywood Casino here in Columbus since it opened 6 years ago, and they have zero idea when they will get back to work. Seems to me it would be kind of hard for a dealer to wear rubber gloves and deal, lol. I can see a place turning off every other slot machine to keep space.

I'm sure the Indians will win out, but it should be a fun couple of days with Gov Lamont trying to get them not to open.

Go to citizensvoice.com . Article on casino opening protocols. Read halfway through article and click on gaming protocols. All you need to know about
    rule for PA casinos opening.

Also tribal casinos in Washington state have opened with many restrictions. You practically have to make an appointment to get in.

I think that casinos in South Dakota may have opened, but I don't know for certain.

Supposedly, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas is undergoing a vast cleaning (sanitizing) process in preparation of opening soon.

Not Hard Rock but the other small Indian Casino in Miami has opened with No Poker,Simulcast or dining in.There is one entrance in and same one out. They count people and every third slot is on.Masks, they take your temperature!etc.I never been to this one and quess. I will never go.
The one near me at GP is getting set to open soon and this is where I played Poker but doubt it will have it and don’t think I would play anyhow.Do not see fans at Race track till there is a vaccine.

Our casino is Mohegan Pocono and will follow same protocol as Mohegan Conn. and PA's. It will be fun at the craps table when they stop a hot role every few tosses
to sanitize the dice. I really don't see them opening in the near future though. PA has a county by county Red, yellow and green system. We are still in the red because
a town (Hazleton) on the other edge of the county has the majority of cases and is screwing up our numbers.

What does your son do at the casino, if you don’t mind me asking? Hollywood is usually where we go.

It sounds like a lot of people that have actually gotten through the unemployment system are making more money by not working. Pretty disparaging to me. People should be paid a high enough wage they are not making more on unemployment.

Almost all casinos in Vegas are shooting for June 1st. (subject to change). Treasure Island is accepting reservations for May 26th. Some of the social distancing rules are three people max at Blackjack table, 6 people max at craps and four people max in elevators. There was a max for poker too but don't remember what it was. Figure 50% of what it was. Tables to be sanitized after player leaves. Hand sanitizer will be available almost everywhere. Plexiglass barriers will be in place. That is about all I know. Again this is all subject to change

My son stopped over last night, and still hasn't heard any rumblings about the place opening back up.

gcotton (and everyone else)...check out this page to track which casinos are open...according to American Gaming Association, all 989 casinos in North America were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but as of this writing, 224 are open (June 4 is target date for Nevada casinos): https://www.americangaming.org/resea...asino-tracker/
