  • Covid 19 Weekly Update For 6-2-20 to 6-8-20

I’ve eliminated the Covid 19 “Totals” charts as the numbers I post elsewhere make them redundant, and also removed the chart on national testing totals (where the reported numbers have varied too wildly to be consistently credible). These are replaced with charts ranking those presidents and prime ministers, whose responses (or lack thereof) to the Covid 19 pandemic have resulted in either infection and death mitigation (see S. Korea), or a virtual explosion of Coronavirus infections and deaths (see USA). It’s ranked according to weekly averages of infections and deaths based on the earliest confirmed case for each nation. The intention of these charts is, precisely, to point a finger at those national leaders most responsible, and therefore “own” their Coronavirus victims.

Worldwide, both infections and death rate increases slowed. Sweden, however, had a spike in infections, and France’s deaths jumped considerably. Trump saw his weekly infections average increase, but Bolsonaro’s “So what?” philosophy is fueling a charge up the leaderboard for both grim categories. Arizona gets 2/3rds of a hat trick this week, charging up to 1st place in both infections and death rates. Along with N. Carolina, The Grand Canyon State is doing something wrong.

State "testing" numbers are in duplicate this week. May have to threaten staff again with an INS inspection.
