Andy Dalton led Dallas to a win over the Giants, after Dak Prescott was knocked out of the game with a compound fracture of his right ankle. Prescott is having surgery tonight on his ankle by an orthopedic surgeon. A compound fracture is when a broken bone penetrates through the skin. Prescott is out for the foreseeable future, probably for the rest of the season. Therefore, the Dallas playoff possibilities rely on Dalton doing a good job at the quarterback position. If Dalton plays very well, Dallas could get rid of Prescott next year and save a ton of salary because Prescott's salary is onerous, paying him much more than he is worth. Prescott has a history of putting up big yards passing in the fourth quarter of games when Dallas is getting blown out in the first half of games.
