    ANOTHER BUCKET FULL OF CHALK...

Except BALT taking me and a few others out, more favorites winning eventhough JAX gave GB a game as I thought would happen...MTHELLER has had two weeks in-a-row of nail biters but a W is a W! I didn't know Bellacheat could control the weather too and create a CAT 3 with a push of a button and mess with BALT. Damn you! I think the worst thing that happened is that I didn't get my Liz Hurley Fantasy pick up!!!! Went straight from work to have cocktails watching the UW Husky game and just effing forgot. I would have taken NO, but I guess I'll have to call it a Bye week. Lizzy gave me 'The Look' for my transgression. Crap.

Will we have a nuke go off this week? Who the hell knows! Seems like the clock is ticking though...

    RADAR WORTHY...

PITT @ JAX...Yep, I'll say it again this week, JAX will give PITT a game as PITT will think they are vacation and JAX is trying hard still and who wouldn't want to give Ben the rapist his first loss! I'd only bet Volo's money on PITT, but hard to see them losing if they come out and want to play. Yeah, CINN is on par with JAX and PITT destroyed them, BUT, this will be closer than advertised.

TENN @ BALT...I don't think a super storm is heading for BALT this weekend and BALT will want to get that dog crap sundae taste out of their mouths fast. TENN is good, but BALT is better and will find a way to win.

NYJ @ LAC...Chargers are the kings of losing by a TD or less but the perfect cure for that is the JETS! JETS gave NE a bit of a game and are coming off the Bye. LAC seems to be playing hard and wanting to get some wins and will look at this as a golden opportunity.

KC @ LAS...Yep, LAS beat KC on their turf and KC will want to turn the tables. They come off the bye and should be charged up to get a W to start the 2nd half of the season on the right foot. Should be a good game and I'm staying away.

DAL @ MINN...MINN game is on while I write this and could possibly be a pick at home. DAL off the bye and might come out firing as they need to keep pace in the pathetic NFC least.

Not much else...Slim pickings for the Week 1 players as a number of the better teams have been used already.

GET PICKS IN YOUR SYSTEM AS PLACEHOLDERS!!!

I'm reluctantly leaning LAC but MINN is a possibility. The Jets are showing fight and getting healthy. Plus they are off the bye. Dallas is also showing fight and getting healthy. Plus coming off the bye. You see my conundrum!

I get it... You can find reasons for an upset easily and it messes with your head!

I am between same 2,Minny and LAC,and have a gut feeling Jets may win one before season end.Have a few days to decide.

Yep, tough weekend not to be on the big favorite. I moved Miami into my mix. Denver does not have a good run game, and the Miami D should be able to shutdown any passing attack.

Gonna be chilly...MIA probably hasn't been at DEN since Volo was a boy.

Weather actually looks better today...Cooler than they are used to, but not bone-chilling cold.

LAC at the top of the heap...No respect for those JETS that gave NE a game along with BUFF in the last 3-weeks. Hmmmm...MINN getting some love too. I'm queasy about both of those games, but it could be the leftover taco platter in the back of the fridge talking. 😂

I'm leaning BALT right now...Yeah, the same team that knocked one of my picks out last Sunday.

I've already used PIT and BAL.

I have KC left but I'd like to avoid using them here.

Probably going to be the Chargers.

argh, I've already used the Chargers too.

          I'm really stuck.

          Saints without Brees?

          Tampa Bay?

I do have the Vikings left, so that's probably the pick.

Gets to be real fun when you've used a lot of the good teams while the bye weeks are still going on.

Looks like Minny for me.I think LAC packed it in and Jets have to win 1 game and hope this is it.Minny still has something to play for and so does Dallas but they are awful.Another possibility is Seattle at home and Minny and LAC go down and I can split pool.

SEA is a play only if Carson and Hyde both get cleared to play at RB. they've lost their last two games without them as nobody can get short yardage without them. They both practiced Tuesday.

Do you really want to be the one team that gets beat by a 1 and 15 team?

I don't agree that LAC has packed it in, they are a play away in many games and they'll be up for a shot at a win vs the Jets IMHO.

Raiders have a ton on Covid watch but all can play it seems if they test negative Saturday.

          ADAM POOL SUMMARIES...

LAC-PITT-MINN are the front-runners for the pools with the WFT gaining a vote in each pool! Who would have thunk it?!

What the heck happened to those "missed deadline" picks? Seems like it has been a few weeks without them being picked.

More people are at home because of lockdown and doing a lot of day drinking looking at their teams so they aren't as likely to miss now!

Minnesota seems to be ripe to be upset by Dallas.

I wouldn't use NO either, I think that the wrong quarterback is starting.

I agree. Cousins is the wildcard. He is not dependable.

            LIZ HURLEY FANTASY PICK...

SEVEN in-a-row...Yeah, I missed last week as cocktails were going down the hatch watching the UW Husky game with some friends...Sue me! ;-) NO would have been my pick as they were my number one Survivor pick because they were home. It's MY FANTASY so I'll make the rules however I want them to be! Lizzy likes a winner no matter how I find the W's!

BALT...I took them as my survivor pick as I like their D to slow down TENN enough to grab a win at home. TENN D isn't great and should help BALT get back on track after the monsoon loss vs NE.

            RE: missed deadlines

            https://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/i...betting-public

Las Vegas casino owner Derek Stevens took to the airwaves Saturday to deliver a public service announcement. He didn't want to see a repeat of what had happened earlier in the day.

Stevens' sportsbook, Circa Sports, is running an NFL survivor contest with a $1.39 million prize and a $1 million bonus for anyone who lasts all 18 weeks. The contest kicked off with 1,390 entries, each costing $1,000. Entering Week 11, only 301 entries remained.

At 3:08 p.m. PT Saturday, eight minutes after the deadline to submit picks, a contestant with three of the remaining entries emailed the sportsbook. He had overslept and missed the deadline. His three entries were finished.

"Pleasant, pleasant guy ... I just feel terrible for him," Stevens told the Vegas Stats & Information Network on Saturday. "My public service announcement, in this week of giving thanks, is simply this: If you are one of the remaining contestants in the Circa survivor [pool], we are talking about way too much money to potentially have a glitch, $1.39 million, possibly $2.39 million. Get your spouse, get your best friend, get your boyfriend, girlfriend, and promise them that if you win, you're going to take them out to dinner in January. And all they have to do is call you and do a welfare check at 2 p.m. Pacific on Saturday for the next five weeks. Just don't miss the deadline. I feel so terrible about the guy that missed this week. They made it through 10 weeks and then missed the deadline."

It was the beginning of another rough football weekend for the betting public, which, after a string of losing Sundays, is in need of a Thanksgiving break.
