Rafael Schistl has resurfaced with a string at Monmouth Park. For those that didn’t follow the Tampa Bay Downs thread, this trainer had a HUGE debut meet. Has gone dark since. Prepare to POUNCE.

Read a article about him this week and never heard of him but they gave his record at TBD and was impressed.Let’s see how he continues.

Blanked yesterday, but I’ll chalk that up to the bad track conditions. Three more today....

Schistl got on the big board yesterday at 6-1. Two entered today, but at low odds.

Bumping this as an FYI. Schistl heading back to Monmouth after another monster Tampa meet. Last year at Monmouth, he was less consistent than at Tampa, but had a few big prices. Winners of 16-1 and 25-1, as well as a third at 92-1.
I will probably bet him blindly, but will really be on the lookout if he ships one or two to Belmont/Saratoga.

Foley was a big letdown yesterday. Something’s off with that horse.

Schistl was a dud at 8/5. Hope he loses all meet with the short ones. And bombs out the long ones.

Schistl has an interesting one today in Race 5 2 Double David 20-1. Off a 3.5 month layoff, last race was a dud on dirt, but all it’s best races have come in turf routes. Not sure about the weather in NJ, but hoping it stays on the grass.
