2021 NFL P.O.W. Contest Week 12 (Nov 25-29) Post Plays Here

This is the thread for the 2021 VFV NFL P.O.W. contest. The following are the rules for this year:
1. All contestants must be a member in good standing with VFV Forums

2. Players make one (1) single play ATS each week during the NFL regular season

3. A correct play results in one (1) point being awarded. A "push" or tie, results in a half point (1/2) being awarded

4. An Incorrect play results in zero (0) points being awarded

5. All lines MUST be taken from the following website each week: http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/

6. All lines must be -110 or less (must be posted on above site...no buying 1/2 point)

7. Only Vegas Sports Books listed on the VI website will be allowed

8. PLEASE SEE NOTE BELOW FOR ELIGIBLE BOOKS!

9. The following selections are allowed: Full Game Side, Full Game Total, First Half Side, First Half Total (NO MONEYLINES ALLOWED)

10. Plays MUST be submitted each week by kickoff of last scheduled game.

11. Plays must be in the following format (or close to it):

12. Myself, Seahawk Rick (the artist formerly known as Cybergolf) or any other I deem so, will have final ruling on if a play is valid (ie: Wrong line, Wrong Book, Not enough reasoning given, etc)

13. The first couple of weeks I will give the benefit of the doubt to any newcomers on here...veterans, you know the rules, LMEAO

15. Week 18 will be worth 2 points for a correct selection and 1 point for a push.

16. To qualify for the playoff round of this competition, players must have a total of 10 points by the end of the regular season (week 18).

2021 NFL P.O.W. (6-5-0)

HOUSTON TEXANS -2.5 (TI)

What the hell...I'll roll with some Swagger Theory off the big win over the Titans where HOU caused turnovers and played some good D vs one of the best teams in the NFL. They did it in crappy weather and Tyrod is working his way back into form and should be better when he takes on the JETS. That win makes a week of practice oh so fun with NYJ in their sites and can cover a FG one would think.

Falcons have a few extra days of rest for this game although one can argue they actually had a Bye last week even though the schedule says they played New England. Massive drop down in quality here and even though the game is outdoors and on grass the Falcons are better than the Jags. Right?

New England -5.5 (Circa)

The Titans offensive production has fallen off since losing Henry for the season. Since then, they have scored 28 (with 14 of those being two pick sixes), 23, and 13. When you can only muster 13 against the Texans something isn't working. They now face the Patriots who have only allowed 6, 7, and 0 points the past three weeks. Aside from playing the best D in the league right now, the Pats have averaged 35 points over the past 5 games. I'll take the Pats and lay the 5.5.

As our fearless leader likes to say, I am back safely in the "home office" of frigid Central Ohio. Talk about a shock to the system! As I stated, the next time I make that 17 hour drive, it will be for my permanent move to FLA.

If the Falcons get beat by Urban Grinder, then Arthur Blank needs to put a for sale sign on the home office in Flowery Branch and retire to some deserted island. It also may be enough for me to drop my decades long dedication to this team. As bad a s ATL has played on offense recently, they are still a better team than JAX overall. I see a very low scoring game, probably won by our teams MVP, Younghoe Koo, our kicker, lol.

The home team seems to have found their strength, the running game and will be able to exploit a weak Minnesota Defense. Vikings off a high of beating Green Bay last week in a shootout. I see the 9'ers D causing a turnover or two and that making the difference in this one. They come out out with a 6-10 point win.

Short week, home cooking, and the better team. Da Raiders looked lost on Sunday against Cincy. They have a lot of issues to fix and a short week is not going to help. If Cincy can go to Vegas and win by 3 scores, Dallas can fry a Turkey in the morning and win by 2 scores in the afternoon.

I thought I might be able to get -5 and I dabbled in this a bit at -3 last week on the look ahead - but I still like it at -6. I would be looking to fade most teams that were going into 10 days of rest feeling good about themselves after a shutout victory in prime time. But I am comfortable with betting on the Belichick and Mac Jones (who came from a program used to such victories) to stay focused. My only concern is the familiarity on the other sideline, but I just don't think 3 points is enough to move this line given the cluster injuries of skill players on the Titans.

For those of us who have an early dinner this snoozefest will help get our rest for the later games. Both offenses should show
nothing special and combine for the Under. The main thing to worry about will be defensive TDs or TOs in the anti-Red Zone.
