  • QB Kenny Pickett

Some team is going to draft QB Kenny Pickett today in the first round. It will be a vast over reach. He has very small hands. The only QB with tiny hands that has had at least a halfway decent career is very athletic Michael Vick. I can see Kenny Pickett having a nice career as a backup quarterback. You just cannot use a valuable first round pick on a backup quarterback. Willis should be the only QB to be taken in the first round today.

Kenny Pickett, Desmond Ridder and Sam Howell would be good second round picks. There would be great value getting Matt Corral in the third or fourth round.

The Steelers have just set back its franchise about four to five years by taking this backup quarterback in the first round. No other team would have taken him in the first round. I give this pick a grade of D minus to maybe an F. The Steelers are destined to finish fourth in the AFC North Division for the foreseeable future.

Pickett was actually the next to worst pick in the first round. Bill Belichick must be getting senile. He drafted guard Cole Strange out of Chattanooga with the twenty-ninth pick in the first round. He should have traded down again. Strange was projected to be taken late in the third round or early in the fourth round. This pick gets a definite F grade.

Find the video of the Rams brass holding a press conference and react to seeing the Pats pick. McVeigh said, well I guess we don't need to look at him with our 104th pick🤣

The Jets, Giants, Eagles and Ravens all did well in the first round.

Malik Willis probably goes to Seattle with the 40th pick, unless some team makes a trade to get Willis before Seattle is on-the-clock with the 40th pick.
Which quarterback doesn't get picked in round two, Corral, Howell or Ridder?
Willis and Corral will be waiting in the "green room" waiting to hear their names called.
I have no idea why these NFL prospects decide to attend the draft.

Well, it's looking like all 3 QBs will be waiting for the 3rd round

                74) Desmond Ridder Atlanta Falcons
                86) Malik Willis Tennessee Titans
                94) Matt Corral Carolina Panthers

Sam Howell and Carson Strong should be the next quarterbacks to be drafted. All of the quarterbacks except Kenny Pickett took big financial hits in this draft. At least, Malik Willis went to a contending team and could be the starter in 2023. Kenny Pickett may start in 2023, but I don't see Pittsburgh contending in the AFC North Division.

I love the pick by my Falcons of Ridder. It is really all reward with very little risk. They have an entire season to see if they really did get a steal in the draft. And if not, and he doesn't look like he is going to pan out, then it won't cost them much and they can try and get one of the premier qbs in the 2023 draft. Brilliant pick.

WKU's Zappe goes to NE before both Howell and Strong. Strong has a cannon for an arm and is worth the risk in the fifth round.

Iowa State QB Brock Purdy is Mister Irrelevant, drafted last by the SF 49ers. Nevada's Carson Strong is unbelievably an undrafted free agent.

The Philadelphia Eagles topped off its terrific draft by signing undrafted free agent quarterback Carson Strong.

Tiny handed, Kenny Pickett fumbled 38 times in 52 college football games. I expect a higher rate in the much more physical NFL games.
