SUNDAY-FUNDAY-DONEDAY...
More teams with leads at halftime, more teams barley winning or losing the games. ATL allllllllmost created the bomb of the day as they looked like Volo after his 6th martini in the first half, but came roaring back to come within a caught pass of beating LAR. KC/LAC...Coinflip...NE/PITT...Coinflip...NYG/CAR...Coinflip...NYJ/CLEV...Coinflip...BALT/MIA...Coinflip...DAL/CINN...Coinflip...ARI/LAS...Coinflip...INDY/JAX...NOT a Coinflip! How soon into the season can your fire a coach?!
Yours truly made the square move of the weekend and thought DAL had to suck off game one vs TB, and no way Cooper Rush could win. Well...They have a defense, and it created havoc for Cool Joe Burrow. They had a shot to go to OT, but 3 and out on the last drive won't get that done. CLEV snatches defeat out of the jaws of victory, and if you think Brownie the Elf will be on that field next game, I have a bag of Dogecoin to sell you. They took pools down in the 12% range...CINN took down another 10% or so.
Guess what?! It only gets TOUGHER this week! There's only 3-games with a 6.5/7-point spread. Gulp. One is a division game (MINN/DET), One has QB that can barely breath (LAC/JAX), One has one of the best QB's vs a team that might not beat Appalachian St. (KC/INDY). Gonna have to dig into the stats and injury reports to find some winners this week.
QUICK LOOK...
KC@INDY...INDY's season is on the line and in comes KC to push the Dolts to 0-3. Over-confidence and Mahomes missing the plane are the only things that let KC lose this one.
DET@MINN...Well, what to say...The Kitties are believing in themselves and lost a close one to a good PHILLY team and dominated and average Commando's team. Yeah, I know it's Commanders, but they should have gone with Commandos! MINN looked good vs GB, but back to earth vs PHILLY. MINN 6.6/7-point favorites. First time for the Kitties out of their own sandbox in a noisy place in the greenhouse.
JAX@LAC...A pumped up JAX team rolls into LA to see if they can make Herbert wince by just blowing on him. I'm not going anywhere near it. He's one hit from going into the fetal position even though they'll shoot him up with everything in the medicine cabinet. Check the injury report to hear all the lying going on about his condition. Pederson has JAX believing they've turned a page.
PITT@CLEV...If the coaches don't get in the way and screw up the clock management like the JETS game, they have a shot to bounce back vs a beat up PITT team. Hard to back a team with Jacoby Brissett...Plus it's a division game. Weird things happen.
CINN@NYJ...2nd week in-a-row for CINN on the road and being 0-2 makes this a must-win already. NYJ not the better team on paper, but who's practice will be way more energized this week?! That CINN O-Line is gonna put Joey in the morgue if they aren't careful. Beware the disrespected home dog vs a team that was in the SB.
BUFF@MIA...Short week...Division game...A MIA team starting to live up to the hype. Tough spot for BUFF, but they can prove how good they are if they can grab a W.
KC@INDY...For the mappers out there, this one probably wasn't one you had before Week 1. KC seems like as close a thing to a lock we've seen all year. They'll be the big pick, and it's up to you if you want to stay away in case the unthinkable happens. If you have multiple picks left, tough to stay off them.
JAX@LAC...Not sure what to say without knowing if Herbert can brush his teeth without doubling over in pain. Chase Daniels is the back up. He's good...At making money! 14th year as a backup collecting checks. I'm not going on it. Too many unknows for this cowboy...Damn, I brought it up to myself!
PHILLY@WASH...Hurts is looking good this year. He's developing a passing game and with those legs, he's a danger. This could be a rule-breaking game. Road, and division game. Sometimes you have to say WFT! I mean WTF!
OK, get to your homework, and throw your ideas and teams you like/don't like out on the thread so we can come up with some winners!
Get some placeholders in!
GOOD LUCK!! The way this season is going we NEED IT!
