  • NY Giants' QB Daniel Jones

Jones' five year rookie contract is over and done with. If I were the Giants' GM,I would offer Jones a three year contract in the vicinity of $81 million to $84 million with guarantees in the amount of $40 million to $42 million. If Jones does not sign such an offer, then I non-exclusive franchise tag him. Then the Giants can match any offer from another team to keep him or not match and get two first round draft picks for him.

What do you think of me as the Giants' GM?

Isn't it ridiculous the money a run of the mill qb can make these days? I wouldn't throw that much dough at an average (at best) qb. Better off to spend that cash elsewhere and draft a qb.

Although I get the way the NFL has become QB-centric these days, in a hard cap league I think I’d go with the 49er model, if I were the Giants’ GM. Put your money in the defense, the offensive line, and offensive weapons, and let the QB position take care of itself. If Jones was one of the elite QBs I’d think differently, but he’s not, and putting that kind of cap pressure on your roster that your proposal would do, likely means an even less successful 2023-24 season. Let Daboll coach up a rookie QB.

I like Jones more than anyone in the draft, plus compared to other salaries he is resonably priced. He had no o line or wideouts for most of team with giants. We have a ton of draft picks n r heading in the right direction. Fields n lance are d

uds, curious to see where Carr n jimmy g land.

Jones is changing agents. This seems to be because his present agents cannot get what he wants which seems to be as much as a $45 million per year multiyear contract. This probably means that the Giants will use the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jones which would pay him $32.415 million in 2023. He could hen strike a deal with another team which the Giants could match to keep him or not match and get two first round draft choices from the team that signs him.

I'd trade Jones and sign Mayfield and then draft a qb. His contract demands are outlandish and not rooted in reality.

He wants what Mahomes gets. He says he is on a par with Mahomes. WTF?

Based on what Seattle payed smith, who stinks, hope the giants don't screw around with Jones much longer. Qb salaries are out of line based on talent imo.

4 year $160M. 🤦‍♂️ Incentives up to $35M. Too much for mediocrity.

Very happy giant fan here. Signed qb n tagged Barkley. Now get him a wideout n will see what he can do. O line has gotten better , I'm optimistic he was running for his life 2 years ago. Aside from the top 5 qbs, whos out there? Rodgers is a wacko, pass. Draft is a crap shoot, maybe young pans out. Kid from osu pass, they have never produced a good qb, see fields, exhibit a.

The Eagles are still the class of the division, with Dallas close behind.

Agree with Phil, not Dallas Dak is'nt the guy. Too much money tied up in rb n qb. Zeke contract is a disaster. They had best o line in league for a long time, no more. And there coach sucks. Thank good hurst is built like a tank. Root for him to run every play◉‿◉
