XFL Week #5 (March 16-19)

Well, we reached the halfway point of the regular season, and the league has really shown who the top teams are, in my opinion. Teams like DC, STL and HOU have really separated themselves from the rest of the league.

This week's schedule has shifted a little. We now have a game in Seattle on Thursday night, followed by 2 on Saturday and one game Sunday. The marquee game of the week is a rematch of undefeated DC traveling to STL to go against the Battlehawks. DC gave STL their lone loss two weeks ago in DC.

As for my selections, I had my third straight 3-1 week on sides, to move to 10-5-1 ATS. Again the totals are so hard to figure out in this league, lol... As judging by the 8-8 O/U record for the league. My totals suggestions are downright horrible, lol... So if following along, again, I am making plays on the sides, but just posting my suggestions for totals. Please don't judge me on those🤣🤣..

I'll post my plays and suggestions for Week 5 sometime later tonight or on Wednesday, as I am working on this bracket pool, as well as trying to get plays ready for Thursday and Friday in CBB.

Well, here we go... While most are transfixed on the NCAA games, I have been looking over news reports from the 8 XFL papers😉... Here are my Week 5 plays (sides) and suggestions (totals).

Thursday:

These are the current lines my guy is offering (that's why the extra juice on the first two games). I will update each gameday if they are changed, as I only lock in day of game.

Nice call, g, with Seattle and Under. Wish I had been able to make case for Seattle to upset Houston. Was high on Sea Dragons entering season and they're living up to that finally.

Once again, my Battlehawks were done in by the turnover bug... Bad fumble by AJ deep in own territory leads to TD to start the 4th, and then an INT near midfield with about a min to play... Hard to beat a team also when you give up over 200 yds rushing to one player🤦🏻♂️...

Tough division loss at home, but still in good shape to make the playoffs and probably meet up with DC again for the North title in about 6 weeks. Have to put this one behind and move on to Vegas next week in Sin City.. hey, maybe Dave can go out and root my guys on for me😉

On the plus side, I did hit the total in the game, which I did actually bet. On to the nightcap, where someone will finally get their first win of the season.

Another 3-1 week on sides, with my Battlehawks being the lone loss. 4th straight 3-1 week... 13-6-1 at the halfway point of the regular season...

Now we get USFL camps open this week... With the first games in 4 weeks. So we will have about 3 weeks of overlap between these two leagues, including the XFL playoffs.

On to week 6, in which we get the first MNF game of the season, between division leaders Houston and DC.. Should be a good one... Also get 2 games on ABC this weekend..
